1. Motion. Since things like planets are moving, something must've put them into motion.

2. The Cause of Existence. All things are cause by other things, nothing can cause itself to be, there cannot be an endless line of obejects causing others to exist, therefore there must be an uncaused first cause (God)

3. Contingent and Necessary Objects. There are two types of beings in the universe. Contingent beings can't exist without a necessary being causing its existence. So contingent beings are caused, not every object can be contingent, therefore there must be a necessary being to bring about these contingent beings.

4. Degrees and Perfection. Humans percieve different degrees of beauty, beauty is a quality. Therefore for any quality there must be a perfect standard.

5. Intelligent Design. The unviverse works in such a way that one can conclude it had an intelligent designer. All physical laws and the order of nature and the universe were set in motion by God.

i would like the title of any available bible translations from the original greek/hebrew.

preferably from a scholarly authorship rather than personal 'sect' influences.

also, i would be interested if the translation can be incorporated in a 'parallel' version.. best wishes.

Are these the "crucial" years for the Watchtower ? Is time running out ?

or can they keep it going another 100 years.. maybe i'm being a little too hopeful, but i think the next 10 years are do or die for the watchtower.. is was different back in the 20's 30's 40's 50's and 60's, they could get away with changing doctrine and "new light" and new ideas.. but today, people are different and more independent, and question things a lot more.. the "annoited class" is almost gone, regardless of the bs figures they give, .

1914 is all but dead, .

literature is not available like it used to be, .

I predict a massive leaving over the next few years caused by changing doctrine. But the doctrine will be changed so much that they will erase any conflicts anywhere in their publications so that the newly converted won't be able to catch on. I think they have to much money to just run out of steam, so I predict the same size organisation (with different people) and drastically changed belief system in the coming 25 years.

i dont understand why the wts doesnt donate some of its time and resources to charity.

surely helping others in need would classify as a (the) christian act, and would bring a good witness.

imagine peoples perspective of the wts if they helped financially with high profile disasters.

They don't spend on charity because its all going to disappear soon anything and reading the watchtower is much more benefitial than food. "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to care for orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." (James 1:27, NRSV).

I think (this is opinion) that they spend most of their money on investments, the ultimate purpose is who knows. Maybe they'll use the money to rebuild everything after armageddon :).

i have not found one jehovahs witness who could show me in the bible where jesus is refered to as micheal the archangel or that you could draw such a conclusion.

if anyone is willing to discuss this topic with me i would greatly appriciate it.

Can You Believe Bible Prophecy?

many believe that between a fourth and a third of the bible concerns prophecy.. many believe that history shows that god's unerring prophecies of the kingdoms and empires of,egypt,isreal,judah,babylon,persia,greece and rome all came to pass in minute detail.. if his prophecies came true in centuries past,can you----should you-----believe in bible prophecy today?.

btw.we are not talking about the society but the many other religious teachers and scholars who swear by the fulfillment of bible prophecy.. blueblades

I think that all OT prophecy was fulfilled by Jesus, because that what he said somewhere (vague, eh?). Interesting thing I found out though, apparently the 666 number, when you put it through ancient Hebrew cryptology it becomes Nero or something of the sort and that half of revelation was exclusively made for the early Christians to help them through their persecution. I think thats what the point of prophecy is, to bring comfort (or fiery destruction, you pick).

NGO's are basically non-profit organisations; they are elgible for government grants, tax-exemptions in many countries, not only do they have access to the UN library but are allowed to send delegates to official UN meetings and have the right to participate in them.

With all the sources and quotations not properly cited it is tantamount to being fabricated, at least thats my opinion (and in the opinion of any good journalist or professor).

WT brainwashing has made me acquire an aversion to blood for some reason. But if I needed it, I would get one; but I probably wouldn't be able to look.
